I want to thank the American Heart Association for giving me the opportunity to work at a table to distribute AHA/ASA information on stroke and heart disease. My question to you "do you know your number?" The next time you go to your doctor, ask him for your cholesterol level, blood pressure, and body mass index (BMI)?

Normal blood pressure is below 120/80
HDL (good)cholesterol level is less than 200 mg/dL
LDL(bad) Less than 100 mg/dL is best
For most adults, an ideal BMI is in the range 18.5 to 24.9.

We should know our numbers, like we know our shoe size.
